Hunter Douglas - Terrible Products
We purchased four Hunter Douglas Duette honeycomb (top-down, bottom-up) shades in 2013 for more than $2.5K. While the shades look nice and do an adequate job of keeping out the heat of west-facing windows, they are completely defective functionally.
Five times in six years we've had to have one or more (one time, all four) of the shades repaired. We've tried to work with Hunter Douglas, but all they do is placate and delay.
For example, in the latest round, we contacted them in August 2019 when supposedly-repaired blinds came back from the factory with issues and are still waiting for some resolution in October 2019 - when one of the repaired blinds broke AGAIN. If we could get our money back, I'd throw them in the trash and start over with a different blind company.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Monetary Loss: $2600.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Hunter Douglas Pros: Attractive but broke again and again and again.
Hunter Douglas Cons: Defective product and horrendous customer service.

I can't imagine paying so much for windo coverings ; that would make me instantly suspicious. The things that seem to have let me down the worst often cost too much.
Perhaps we have high expectations based upon price, but that is wrong. Crummy is crummy regardless.
